Why Every Home Owner Should Have a Home Inspection
Most homeowners don’t even think about having their home inspected until some sort of issue ‘pops up’ that appears to be serious, or is a condition that the homeowner can’t figure out or is fearful will lead to some additional damage or ‘problems’. This is just human nature; just as many people don’t visit a dentist office until they have a toothache. Unfortunately, once there is an issue that ‘hurts’, it usually means that the issue could have been avoided by a little advanced ‘maintenance’ (inspection), but now it will be an expensive process to ‘fix’ the issue at hand.
Our homes are expensive investments. But putting the investment part of the equation to the side for a moment, our homes serve the very important function of providing our families with a living space that is a safe, comfortable place of shelter from the environment. But the environment is constantly ‘wearing down’ the defenses of our shelter so periodic checks of these vulnerable areas just make sense. Besides, the various components of the systems in our home that provide the comfort and security that we enjoy and usually take for granted do wear out over time and usage. Having a periodic thorough inspection of your home by a experienced, qualified Home Inspector will bring any issues that are visually developing to light that you, the homeowner, may well not be aware of or recognized as an impending ‘problem’.
Consider having your home inspected to give yourself the peace of mind that your home is working as the shelter it should be, which will in turn also be safe guarding the big investment that you have in your home.
“My philosophy about real estate and home ownership is simple… I put myself in your shoes, treat you like family and treat your home as if it were my home.”
